With the economic problems of todays world do you ever wonder what you will do if you can no longer support yourself. Do you own land? If you do, do you have the skills necessary to live without sustainable income? If you don't own land can you survive off the foods you can gather from natural sources? Do you live in a large city with limited or no access to natural foods? Through this site we can work together to share our skills with others and learn new skills from them. I encourage each and every one of you to submit an article to share what you know. Just click the contact tab above to submit your articles and stories.

Quick Tip #1
Making waterproof matches. Take an old candle and crumble the wax into

a large spoon. Hold it over a heat source, I usually use a propane

torch, and melt the wax. Take a strike anywhere match and roll it from

side to side being sure to coat at least one third of the stem as well

as the head. Allow it to cool until dry (you'll see the wax go from

opaque to clear) and you now have a waterproof match.
